What are the hourly rates and are there family discounts?

For 1 on 1 sessions at the library, the rate is $30/hour. For in home sessions, please contact. For siblings that want private sessions, we can offer a 2 in 1 session, where both students are taught seperately within the same hour. This saves parents the 2 hour back-to-back class! We also offer a discount: the first student would be charged at $30/hour and the second one at $25/hour* For in-home lessons, prices may vary by distance of travel, but a family discount still applies. *Subject to availability of tutors and flexibility of student schedules. Do tutors have their police check?

Yes, we both have a valid and updated Vulnerable Screening Sector completed.
How do we schedule a class?

Once you have contacted Aced It! Tutoring Services, we will give you a call or e-mail regarding the next steps. The tutor and parents will discuss a weekly or monthly schedule that works best for them. We recommend having a consistent schedule as this has been shown to increase learning and comprehension, however we also do understand that there are school events, and unplanned occasions that may arise. It is prefered that tutors are given 24 hour cancellation notice- a text or e-mail will suffice! If a student has a big test or exam and needs an extra session before it, they can always contact their tutor to set this up.
Is there a minimum class committment?

We do not have enrollement contracts however, we recommend that a student commits to one hour, once a week for a minimum of 15 weeks. This will allow the student to reach their fullest potential through practice and consistency. We also offer 8 class and 10 class packages at a discounted price- please contact us for more details!
When are the classes and how long are they?

Depending on the student's needs and what they are looking for, the tutoring sessions can occur once a week to multiple times a week (ie. if a student is covering more than one subject, they may do 1 hour of French and 1 hour of English every week). Typically, students choose to do a 1 hour class, however this can be changed to a 1.5 hour class or a 2 hour class if needed.
Do you work with students with special needs or learning disabilities?

Yes! In previous experience, we have both worked with individuals with special needs and ensured that their individual needs and goals were being listened to and met. We have also completed a course for teaching special education students.
What are the tutor's availability?

Please contact us for details regarding availability as it depends on both the students schedule and the tutors.
How do I pay for the classes?

We accept cash and e-transfer. This can be discussed with your tutor.
